It's our second day in this AEP class, April-May 2007. In our class today, I had an opportunity to interview Ann about her opinion towards some lucky and unlucky signs. She states that she believes in some of them. For example, when she sees a black cat walking across the road, she feels that some bad things might happen and that makes her avoid getting close to any black cats.
Although she doesn't have any good luck charm with her, she convince in doing a certain manner to help her lucky. She also told me that everytime she walks into the examination room, she would walk into the room with her right leg. This could help her to be more confident and do the exam very well.
How about you? Do you have any idea with some lucky and unlucky signs?

To me, my lucky signs will change every year depending on the chinese astrology. From my recollection, it was a rabbit-shaped amulet last year. This year, a turtle twisted by snake is my lucky amulet for the persons who was born in dog year. Anyway, I don't quite believe in these signs. The thing I trust is my own. I believe that with my confidence I can success in everything not depend on lucky or unlucky signs.

I don't think I believe in 'lucky signs' as such, but I have to admit that ever since I was a child in the fourth grade of school, I was (and still am) very careful to wash my hands carefully before I do an exam. I don't really 'believe' in this 100%, but I associate it with good luck, and I still do it -- just in case it really works!

At first, I don't think I believe in any 'lucky sign'. But after I read your interview and Ann said about the black cat, that makes me realise that I believe in this sign too.

well, i don't believe in lucky sigh that much. apart from Ann, I do not think that black cat walking represents bad luck. However, I sometimes get nervous when I see a black one walking around in the temple area coz there's a belief that black cat would resurrect those corpse, and I'm ghostphobia!!

You can try start walking with right leg if you have an exam in that day,it works !

In my view point, my lucky signs change along the situation. For example, I feel scared when seeing a black cat in cemetry. On the other hand, I would feel nothing when seeing it anywhere else. However, I believe in myself more than lucky sign.
